Q. Must I have a web site to join?
YES! You'll need a web site to join. Without a site, there is nothing to link you to or from the other golden sites in this ring.

Q. Will you add the webring stuff for me?
You will need to add the webring HTML source code yourself or have a friend help you, as we do NOT have access to your server. But we will be happy to answer any additional questions you may have about setting up your webring.

Q. Why do I need to put the webring graphic & links on MY site?
Because without the links nobody will be able to surf to the next golden site once they hit your site. Plus without it - your site will not be added to the webring.

Q. Do you ever check the web sites in the webring to make sure the webring is still on the member's site?
YES! we do random checks & any site found to no longer have the webring graphic & links on their site is sent an e-mail asking if they still wish to be in the webring before we remove their site.

Q. How long do I have after I sign up to put the webring links & graphic on my site?
Your time in the "queue" will automatically expire after 14+ days. We have found that people who don't set up the webring in the first couple of weeks after signing up usually never do.
NOTE: If you find your site has expired & has been removed from the queue - just sign up again if you still want to join.

Q. The webring graphic logo isn't showing up on my site? What should I do?
First check to see that you have uploaded the graphic to YOUR server. If so..then check to see that you have uploaded it as "rog.gif" in all lower case letters. If you've renamed the image to another name..the html code can't find it & you'll need to either rename the image in the source code or upload it again as rog.gif.

Q. I don't like a site in the webring...will you remove it for me?
NO!! We will not remove a site from the webring simply because someone doesn't like it. We WILL however remove a site if becomes offensive or no longer fits the GOLDEN theme.

Q. Can I quit the webring when ever I want?
YES! You may remove your site at any time for any reason. Just go to the edit page &type in your id# & password & then check the remove my site box and you will be automatically removed from the ring. Or you can write to us & asked to be removed.

Q. I have more than one Golden Retriever site, can they each join?
Oh, but of course!!

Q. Can a GR rescue site join?
YES! We'd love to have more golden rescue sites join.

Q. My dog has an ear infection what should I do?
Call or see your vet!Seriously... Please do NOT write us with medical questions this is a webring. Please ask your vet, they are there to help you.

Q. I signed up to join the webring, but why wasn't my site ever added?
Your site will not be added to the webring if... it is not about Golden Retrievers or if you did not add the webring graphic & links to your site correctly with your ring id# or if it was just too hard to find the webring on your site & (i.e.: the webring should be fairly easy to find from the url you submit to the ring, if we have to spend more than a few minutes clicking from page to page looking for it, we will not expect our ring surfers to waste their time & will probably not add your site to the ring.

Q. Can you find me a puppy?
NO!! Please contact your local GR club they should be able to give you a list of responsible breeders in your area.

Q. Why do I need a password?
Because if you ever want to change your site information (URL, title, e-mail address or remove your site from the webring) you will need a password to do so. Without passwords anyone could change anyone's site information.

Q. Will you ever give my e-mail address out to anyone?
We will never give out your e-mail address to anyone for any reason.
